Thoughts

Alasdair was a dear colleague and friend and I am very sorry to hear he has passed away. He had a sharp intellect and wit and I enjoyed working with him so much. Alasdair always spoke of June, Emma and Andrew with great affection and pride. Kindest regards, Eileen.

I’ll miss Alasdair’s comprehensive comments on political matters and his passion for fan representation at all levels of fitba. We hardly ever disagreed but when we did he was never disagreeable. A lovely man of principle who had more than just feelings of concern about life’s injustices and was always willing to stand up and try to make a difference for those in need of support. May his soul rest in peace.

We feel so privileged to have been able to count Alasdair and his lovely wife, June, among our dear friends. Their kindness was evident in all they did which, in our case, included treating the Canadian new students in Uni like people who had been classmates with them for years. We were even invited to Alasdair's 21st birthday celebration at his home, an honour indeed. He and June were such a perfect couple, so devoted to each other during all of their many years together. We will miss them both, but take comfort in believing that they have been reunited in eternity. Our deepest sympathies to Emma and her partner, Graeme, and to Andrew and his partner, Christina.
